LANDON

I married Landon because he is my best friend, but I also knew he was going to be an incredible father. Now that we have two kids, I can tell you that I was right (Boom!) and he really is.  This is obvious when the kids explode with squeals of pure joy as soon as he gets home from work! Our boys love tackling Landon and climbing on the "daddy jungle gym". They always laugh the loudest when their daddy is tickling them and never get tired of wresting him! Especially when it’s time to go to bed ;)

He is also the most Christ-like person I know.  He selflessly serves his family and others and while he is surrounded by imperfect people (me), he forgives them instantly.  He has so much compassion for others and is so relatable. With every trial or hard thing that we face, he always turns to God and does his best to follow in Christ’s footsteps.  I am so grateful for the example that he gives. I hope my kids are just like him.

Landon loves games, of all kinds. A lot of our family time is spent playing games and finding things to tease each other about. Landon is gifted at both games and teasing, I’m excited to see what happens when our kids are older and can poke fun back at him!! ;) He is full of random facts and will always share what he is thinking, regardless of how random it is. And if you say something that reminds him of a song, he will probably sing it for you (which he does well!).  He does it so much that song lyrics were actually part of my vows at our ring ceremony after we were sealed in the Payson Temple. We all have so much love for him, we are sure that you will too.

MARIAH

I knew I wanted to marry Mariah very, very shortly after we met (like days). We were fast friends and, soon, I didn't want to imagine a life without her. And even though it took several months of friendship to convince her to see things the same way, eventually she did! I love her and appreciate how she finds balance in so many aspects of life.  She has been an incredible athlete, student, sister, daughter and, now, wife, and mother.  She has the Christ-like ability to love those around her unconditionally and draw them into her family circle. And once you are in her family, she works tirelessly to protect, serve and elevate everyone.

Mariah has a level of determination that sets her apart. She has faced many trials in her life, but for each trial she has rolled her sleeves up and worked with faith to overcome each obstacle. With our kids I see her work to instill that same kindness, hard work, and perseverance into their characters. She patiently takes the time to teach lessons in the day to day moments that can be so tedious and exhausting in the life of a parent.

In addition to the hard work Mariah does, she also shows her joy and passion for life in everything that she does. She has the most contagious laugh that fills our house with light.  It is a constant reminder to the kids and I to not take ourselves too seriously and to give ourselves grace for our mistakes. Mariah’s trials in life have given her empathy and compassion, something she will, undoubtedly, pass on to our kids. You could not find someone who will more fiercely love you and your baby than my wife.

EZRA

Ezra is our oldest. He has been curious and vocal since the day he was born! He loves cars and construction equipment, so much so that he will tell you what each of the different types are (correctly) haha. He really likes his school time with mom and playing games with the family. He loves Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and card games; the memory match card game is his favorite. If Ezra could spend every day with his friends, he absolutely would. He loves everyone and is not afraid to tell them. He loves sharing fun moments with others and doesn’t want them to miss out on anything! When his little brother was scared to go down the slide, he would sit right next to him and go down with him until Noah was ready to do it on his own. He is so excited to meet his baby sister and share moments like that with her. He has already told me that he wants to show her his favorite animals and our sandbox! I have no doubt that he will love his little sister so much and that he will always be there to talk with her.

NOAH

The phrase we say to Noah the most often is "Noah! That's a lot of love!"  He earns this by his snuggle tackles that he gives to EVERYONE! He just has so much love to give, I think it overwhelms him haha.  His favorite thing is spending time with his older brother and even when they are busy playing, he will always coming to give mom a snuggle to check in. His favorite things are going outside, going down slides very fast, coloring, and puzzles. Noah is also our animal whisperer. Even as a baby, our dogs would come lay down by him and let him tug on their ears and play with their feet.  Whenever we have a litter of puppies in our house, he is my little helper. He is so soft with them and they love that he often has left over snacks on his face! He can't tell us with words yet but we can tell he is excited for his baby sister because he carries around our doll and has been practicing his swaddling techniques in preparation! Haha He will be such a good big brother, I can already tell that he is one of the most loving and forgiving souls. Even if he wants a toy, he is always willing to share and I can’t wait to see him with a little sister too ♥️

OUR DAILY LIVES

Our every day, however different they are from one another, start the exact same. Ezra wakes up to go to the bathroom and while he rummages around in his blankets to find his stuffed animal, Noah wakes up.  When Ezra has finally found his animal, he climbs out of bed and is swiftly followed by his little brother (they share a room).  They burst out of their room, run down the hall, and slowly creek open the door to our bedroom.  After stealthily walking up to my side of the bed Ezra will loudly proclaim "I have to go potty!” We take turns taking Ezra to the potty while the other picks Noah up for some sleepy squishy snuggle time.

After this very routine morning, we get to decide what we want to do for the rest of the day! On weekdays when Landon goes to work, the boys and I like to go visit our buddies, Nana, or have a day at home. Our favorite things to do inside are anything involving art: play dough, painting, coloring, singing, dance parties, etc.  The boys are also HUGE cars enthusiasts so we do a good amount of VRRRROOOOOOMMMMing. Outside we have several parks close by, including one in our backyard, where the boys like to play and our puppies like to run. During warm days we spend a lot of time in the sandbox and splash pad. On weekends it is much the same but WAY more fun because Daddy is home. We use our weekends together to see family that live close by and soak up all of the daddy time we can!  Sunday mornings are spent at church, feeling the Spirit, and taking the Sacrament. Then we start it all over again on Monday!

I really feel blessed by the simple and fun way we live. I am able to be home with the kids and do homeschooling/play and Landon goes to a job that he loves. The kids and I get to pick together what we do and who we go see. Our routine, although simplistic, never seems dull or repetitive because we discover new things every day together as a team. And our team is pretty quirky so it keeps things exciting ;)
